Andy Watson
Professor
Andy Watson has worked in technical and marketing communications for over 20 years. He has experience in technical writing and editing, information architecture, project management, and product marketing. He has a BS in Computer Science from Texas A&M University, and a MS in Information Design and Communication from Southern Polytechnic State University. His goal is for every student to improve their writing skills while learning about the various stages of the writing process.
David McMurrey Professor
Dr. David McMurrey has been teaching technical writing since 1978 and has published three textbooks on writing and technical communications. As a practitioner he worked 11 years as a writer and editor for IBM. He is a full-time faculty member at Austin Community College. Professor McMurrey teaches a wide range of courses for Techwriter-Certification and engages also in special projects for corporate clients.
Eric Machan Howd
Professor
Professor Eric Machan Howd specializes in the teaching of Professional and Technical Writing. He continues to inspire and educate both learners and educators to think "outside of the box." His specialties include, Technical Writing, ePortfolios, Instructional Design, Educational Technology and Leadership. Currently he holds the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Writing and is Director of Extended Studies at Ithaca College.
Leah Parent
Professor
Leah Parent has worked in the technical writing industry for over 15 years, focusing on computer software documentation, copy editing, and document design. She has been teaching technical writing, editing, and online documentation for nearly 10 years. She enjoys teaching integral technical writing skills both to those who are new to the field and to professionals who are looking to advance their learning. Leah has a BA in Communications and an MA in Technical Communications from Northeastern University.
